OPEN RA POSITION

A research assistantship position is available for a PhD student, starting immediately, to conduct research on cooperative wireless communications as a part of a Tubitak funded project, "Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)-Based Resource Allocation in Cooperative Wireless Communications". Qualified MS students/candidates may also apply. The prospective candidate

• Should demonstrate strong academic and analytical skills (a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher),
• Should have a solid background in the area of communications.

Also one or more of the following is preferred, and will be a big plus

• Some knowledge of information theory,
• Prior MS thesis work in the area of communications (for PhD students),
• Experience in coding using MATLAB.

This is a 2.5 year position, which includes a competitive stipend (1500YTL/month for PhD, 1250/month for MS students), and tuition remission for the entire MS/PhD program at Işık University. Students already enrolled in PhD programs at other institutions may also apply, provided they will work on this project for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
