I was born in 1975 in Gülnar (Mersin), Turkey.
I received my both B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the Department of Geodesy and Photogrammetry Engineering, Karadeniz Technical University, in Trabzon, Turkey in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and my Ph.D. degree in Photogrammetry, at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland in 2007.
I worked as senior research associate at the Institute of Geodesy and Photogrammetry (Geomatics), ETH Zurich between 2007 and 2009.
Currently, I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering of Isik University, in Istanbul, Turkey. 

I received the ISPRS Best Paper by Young Authors Award, the Silver Medal of ETH Zurich, and the Carl Pulfrich Award.
